Kingfisher - another perpective

Here is another shot of the same beauty!

Kingfisher scape!

I shot this one at Harohalli lake. Before I could stalk closer to the subject, couple locals arrived the scene and the beauty just flew away. This composition is inspired by Ganesh HS . I like his composition and play of light in his photographs.

My day out with Pond Heron

Last Saturday turned out to be a great day for me in terms of capturing Pond Heron & its feeding behavior. As Dinesh/Nagesh/Raks were preoccupied, I decided to go alone. I went on boat in Harohalli lake & found nothing, really. I got a decent shot of a small blue kingfisher. So I decided to head back to Bangalore & in between I stopped before the lake close to Harohalli. Here are the results of spending 1 hour with those beautiful creatures.

Unfortunate that I couldn't get the dragon fly in the same focusing plane.

It's all over now!!

Yellow Billed Babbler

Well, the shot isn't perfect.. Background is cluttered, there's little bit of burning that I've to do. Haven't got time yet, to process it yet. So I thought let me post it anyway & then process it just for comparison sake.

Whisper!!!

That's what the yellow billed babbler seem to be doing to its buddy!

My First Macro Outing

I went to my first macro outing with Manoj. Raks, Nagesh, Dinesh, Venkat were also there to shoot just about everything that moved ;) But as it turned out, we shot an orb spider.

My favorite subject when it comes to macro! I can't help but shoot a few of these! Thanks to Dinesh's Tamron 90mm macro lens I got a decent shot of this. Boy, this macro lens rocks!
